What is GYEON Q²M PPF Slip? GYEON Q²M PPF Slip is a dedicated slip solution for edge positioning and the final lock-down of paint protection film at edges and corners – it lets you tuck the film neatly under wrapped edges and gives you a clean edge bond that stays put.

Day-to-day from Detailing1: use PPF Slip in a targeted way and go easy on it – too much slip on the edge slows the adhesive layer down as it cures. The technique that works: spray slip onto the edge, push the film under the wrapped edge with a thin tucking tool, then press the edge down with a squeegee or your finger. Once it is tucked, wipe the excess slip off straight away with a microfibre. For the care that follows: Q²M PPF Wash for the first wash after 48 hours.

Why edges are the weak spot on a PPF install

Film edges are the most critical zone of any PPF install. At an edge, film and paint meet under tension – if the adhesive doesn't bond fully and permanently here, the film starts to lift. Using Q²M PPF Slip day to day

Once the film is positioned on the main panel with Q²M PPF Lift, move on to the edges with Q²M PPF Slip. Spray the slip sparingly onto the film edge and onto the bodywork underneath. With a suitable tucking tool, push the film under the wrapped edge or into the gap. Press the film edge down evenly with a squeegee or your finger – work from the middle out to the edge so the air gets pushed out. Blot the excess slip off straight away with a clean microfibre. Keep water off the finished edges for at least 24 hours.
