One pump sprayer, two chemistry worlds: solo CLEANLine (303 A / B) — Pump Sprayer 1.25 Litre

Which pump sprayer suits your cleaner? The solo CLEANLine (303 A / B) — Pump Sprayer 1.25 Litre comes as the 303 A for acidic media (FKM, pH 1–7) and the 303 B for alkaline media (EPDM, pH 7–14) – each with 3 bar, a safety valve and an adjustable nozzle.

solo CLEANLine (303 A / B) — Pump Sprayer 1.25 Litre is the answer when you don't want to atomise cleaning chemistry „somehow“, but in a controlled, even and material-friendly way. In detailing it's often not just the product that decides the result, but how you lay it down: too coarse = wasted product, too fine = it dries off, wrong seal = headaches. That's exactly where the CLEANLine series plays its strength: 303 A and 303 B are built the same technically, but sealed differently for the chemistry – so you run acidic and alkaline cleaners each in the right system. Both versions work manually with a piston pump up to 3 bar, have a safety valve to release the pressure and an adjustable hollow-cone nozzle for spray volume and pattern.

  • pH-right instead of „it'll do“: 303 A uses FKM seals for acidic media (pH 1–7), 303 B EPDM seals for alkaline media (pH 7–14). That's not theory – that's the difference between working clean long-term and „why is this part swelling up now?“.
  • Consistent spray pattern at 3 bar: with up to 3 bar working pressure you get repeatable wetting – ideal when you want to lay down pre-wash, APC or wheel cleaner across a surface without overdoing the mist.
  • Day-to-day details that keep things hassle-free: safety valve for releasing pressure, a wide filler opening, base feet, a semi-transparent tank with a fill mark – plus a lock for continuous spraying when you're covering a surface instead of training your finger.

FKM vs. EPDM seals: understanding pH ranges 1–7 and 7–14 and choosing right

FKM seals (303 A) are made to handle acidic cleaning media reliably in the pH window 1–7 – SOLO explicitly names use in the acidic cleaning range here and lists FKM („Viton“) as the seal material. If you work with acidic specialist cleaners in detailing (classics: lime/mineral-based deposits, water spots and rust film on suitable surfaces, depending on the product), then the A version is the logical grab – not because „A is better“, but because the seal matches the medium. The other way round, the EPDM seal (303 B) is designed for alkaline cleaners in the pH 7–14 range; SOLO describes EPDM as the seal material for basic/alkaline applications and also notes it suits disinfecting solutions. In practice that means: for typical all-purpose cleaners (APC) and many degreaser/pre-wash scenarios you're very often in the green with 303 B, while 303 A is your safe bet when you deliberately work acidic. Our tip from the day-to-day: if you regularly spray both alkaline and acidic, genuinely grab both versions – that's not a gimmick, it's clean chemistry hygiene. And if you love your bottle parking spots: the CLEANLine even has a card/label system in the spray head, including coloured marker cards – great for keeping contents and uses apart (and yes: it very effectively prevents the „oops, wrong cleaner“ moment).

Car pre-wash and detailing: applying cleaning chemistry in a controlled way with a pump sprayer

Car pre-wash lives off chemistry clinging evenly and getting to work – not off you sending half of it into the air as mist. That's exactly what the 1.25-litre format is strong for: handy, quick to fill, and big enough to do a car in one go without topping up constantly (fill volume 1.25 L). The adjustable hollow-cone nozzle lets you trim the spray pattern so you get more coverage or more punch depending on panel size and dirt – without changing the character of the product. For us day-to-day that's the sweet spot for: pre-cleaners/pre-sprays on lower areas, APC on sills/door shuts (with the right pH version), and targeted wetting of problem zones.

3 bar spray pressure, hollow-cone nozzle, safety valve and continuous spraying for a clean pattern

3 bar spray pressure on a hand pump sprayer isn't a pub-talk number, it's the point where the spray pattern and your work rhythm get stable: pump, spray, keep going – without running „empty“ after three trigger pulls. SOLO quotes 3 bar for both 303 models and pairs it with a safety valve that can drop the pressure for emptying/refilling and automatically vents over-pressure. On top of that there's the encapsulated pump unit, which shields the pump elements from the cleaning fluid being dispensed – a detail that in day-to-day simply means: less contact between the mechanism and aggressive chemistry, and so a more robust, more consistent function over time. And because we love it in detailing when things „just run“: the lock slider for continuous spraying is gold when you want to wet larger areas without sending your finger to the gym. If you need more of a „foam blanket“ than a spray film, take a look at one of our foam sprayers/foamers as an add-on – the pump sprayer then stays your tool for pre-sprays, targeted wetting and working „by feel“.
