What is COLOURLOCK Leather & Plastic Paste used for? — This heat-curing filler repairs deep cracks, holes, and material loss in leather and plastic, curing to be particularly stable and durable under heat.
COLOURLOCK Leather & Plastic Paste is a professional, heat-curing filler for repairing heavily damaged leather and plastic surfaces. It is ideal for deep cracks, holes, breaks, edge damage, and material loss where conventional fillers are no longer sufficient. Targeted heat curing creates a particularly strong, dimensionally stable repair base that can then be sanded, textured, colored, and sealed.

Heat-Curing Technology & Mechanism of Action
Leather & Plastic Paste is based on a special polymer formula that only fully hardens under heat. Controlled heating (e.g., with a heat gun) creates a particularly hard, resistant structure that can withstand strong mechanical stress. The paste shrinks very little, remains dimensionally stable, and is excellently suited for rebuilding edges, shapes, and missing material – both on leather and plastic surfaces.
Application, Coverage & Best Practices
Before application, the surface should be clean, dry, and free of grease. COLOURLOCK Leather & Plastic Paste is applied to the damaged area with a spatula or modeling tool and roughly shaped. The paste is then cured with controlled heat. After cooling, the repaired area can be sanded, smoothed, and further textured. Depending on the type of damage, the paste can be built up in layers. This is followed by color application and sealing with a top coat.
Results, Areas of Use & Demarcation
After curing, a very strong, durable repair area is created that is ideal for further processing. Leather & Plastic Paste is suitable for car seats, door panels, center consoles, steering wheels, furniture, plastic trim, and interior parts. It is not a fine filler for small scratches but a structural repair paste for larger damages. For fine surface corrections, a classic filler or Super Filler is recommended afterwards.
