Day-to-day from Detailing1: For streak-free results on the inside of the windscreen, use the two-cloth method: first cloth to spread and clean (a damp microfibre), second cloth to buff off (a dry microfibre). Never use Q²M Glass on hot glass or in direct sun – that ramps up streaking massively. After cleaning the inside glass, check any tint film to make sure the cleaner is compatible.

The interior glass film: why it forms and how Q²M Glass clears it

That signature greasy layer on the inside of the windscreen builds up from a mix of off-gassing vehicle plastics (especially on new cars), nicotine from smoking in the car, the occupants' own body vapours, and moisture from the air-con and heating. These substances settle as a thin film on the glass and are near impossible to shift with plain water. Q²M Glass contains special solvents that break this film layer down completely and lock it into the cloth – after the job the glass is genuinely clean, not just optically freshened up.

Using Q²M Glass inside and out

Exterior glass: spray Q²M Glass straight onto the window or onto a microfibre and wipe across the surface in straight passes. Buff off with a second, dry microfibre. Interior glass (the windscreen especially): because it's awkward to reach, we'd go for a dedicated glass-cleaning mitt or a foldable cleaning tool. Spray onto a microfibre (not straight onto the glass – you risk over-spray onto the dashboard) and spread it generously across the window. Buff off with a dry cloth and repeat if needed. On cars with a glass coating (Q² View EVO) only use it on the outside, to protect the coating.

Q²M Glass vs. Glass+: clean, or clean and protect?
